Ben Dunkelman

Ben Dunkelman was a Canadian Jewish officer who served in two prominent military roles. During World War II, he was part of the Canadian Army, and later, he joined the Israel Defense Forces to fight in the 1948 Arab–Israeli War. In Israel, he was known by the alternate name Benjamin Ben-David. Dunkelman's military career was marked by distinction, earning him the Distinguished Service Order (DSO) for his service.

Beyond his military accomplishments, Dunkelman led a multifaceted career in various fields. He went on to become a successful businessman, heading the retail chain Tip Top Tailors. Additionally, he ventured into real estate development, owning an art gallery, and operating restaurants.
