Chaim Pinchas Scheinberg

Chaim Pinchas Scheinberg was a prominent Haredi rabbi and rosh yeshiva, born in Poland and raised in the United States. He later settled in Jerusalem, Israel, where he resided in the Kiryat Mattersdorf neighborhood from 1965. Scheinberg held esteemed positions as the rosh yeshiva of Torah Ore yeshiva in Kiryat Mattersdorf and Yeshivas Derech Chaim in Brooklyn, demonstrating his dedication to Jewish education and scholarship.

As a respected posek and Gadol HaDor, Scheinberg was frequently sought out for guidance on various communal and personal halachic matters. His expertise and knowledge, shaped by his education in prewar European yeshivas, made him one of the last living Torah scholars of his generation. Scheinberg was also a key rabbinic leader in Kiryat Mattersdorf, alongside notable rabbis such as Yisroel Gans and Yitzchok Yechiel Ehrenfeld. Additionally, he was a member of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah of Israel, further solidifying his position as a leading figure in the Jewish community.
