Otto Weininger

Otto Weininger was a prominent Austrian philosopher born in 1880. His philosophical work had a significant impact on various intellectual figures of his time. In 1903, he published his notable book, Geschlecht und Charakter, which would later gain widespread popularity. This publication remains a key aspect of his philosophical legacy, showcasing his thoughts and ideas on fundamental human concepts.

Weininger's influence extended to several notable figures, including the renowned philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein and the Swedish author August Strindberg. Additionally, his lesser-known work, Über die letzten Dinge, had an impact on the celebrated author James Joyce. Tragically, Weininger's life was cut short when he took his own life at the age of 23, in the same year his major work was published.
