Lee Bycel

Lee Bycel is a prominent figure in American Judaism, serving as a Reform rabbi, educator, and social activist. His extensive career has been marked by various leadership roles, including a 15-year tenure as dean of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in Los Angeles. Additionally, he has held the position of western regional executive director of the American Jewish World Service, demonstrating his commitment to social justice and community engagement.
Bycel's dedication to his faith and community is further evident in his work as a congregational leader. Until his retirement in 2017, he served as the rabbi of Congregation Beth Shalom of the Napa Valley.
